On The Street Pitase.

OUR STORY

It all began, On The Street...

We Needed a plan, and we needed one quick. Grateful Dead summer tour was right around the corner, and we all know how expensive touring is.

Brian pulled together 3 of his friends, and hatched a plan to serve food in the parking lot at shows. So Shakedown Street it was. French bread pizza was what we sold those days, but, that was just the beginning of a very " long strange trip" in the food service industry!

We spent the next 10 years on the road, vending at local & far off music festivals. Having way too much fun. We naturally started adding menu items on the way. Our pita sandwiches started to be a stand out on our menu. So On The Street became a pita company.

Marriage and family led to the need to settle down a bit. So we parked the big rig,  joined the world famous Ithaca Farmers Market, and took a concessions spot on the beautiful Ithaca Commons. Located across from "Hotdog Lou" for 6 great years. Together we became "The Ithaca Commons Outdoor Street Vendors Association".  Due to construction on the Ithaca commons, we had to close that location for now.

In March of 2012 we opened our brick & mortar in the west end. In May of 2017 the new owners did not renew our lease, so we went back out (On The Street). to continue what we do best.

We hope to see you soon at On The Street.
